“The Digging-est Dog” By Al Perkins. (Book Review) |
Dolly loves to read with her Uncle Paul!
This is the beloved tale about a dog who never learned to dig. Late in life Duke discovers his passion for digging holes and he digs himself into some big trouble! Duke gets carried away and digs so many holes, he’s torn up peoples beautiful homes, yards and gardens, and they aren’t happy about it! The tale has a good moral lesson about making up for your mistakes, forgiving others, and friendship. The illustrations are vintage looking and charming, the pictures funny and the text is rollicking rhyme, rhythmic and fun!
