“If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” by Laura Numeroff. (Book Review)

If you give a Dolly a cookie, she will probably want 15 more cookies

If you give your child “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”, they will probably want the stuffed mouse, the cute matching lunchbox, the book on CD, and all the other books in the “If You Give A…” collection. And you should probably get them all of that because they are some of the greatest books and cutest book accompaniments, EVER!

I have been a huge fan of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” ever since I was a teen, babysitting a family in my neighborhood. They had this book on the kids’ bookshelf and it was a chosen read every time I went over there. With good reason! The tale follows a mouse in little blue overalls and his equally adorable friend, the little boy. The two get into a whole bunch of adventures, just from sharing a single cookie! The circular story is a delight, from beginning to end, the illustrations are adorable and incredibly humorous, and there is nothing about the book you won’t love! This is definitely one mouse you’ll want to invite into your house over and over again!

Dolly and I read this one (and all the others in the collection) very often, and we also like to listen to the story on CD (read by actress Carol Kane! hilarious!) on our short drive to school!

Right now at Kohls, the Kohls’ Cares program is offering some of the books and plush dolls and a cute mouse lunchbox for $5 a piece, all proceeds to a good cause, so be sure to stop over and pick them up!

Dolly will trade you a cookie for a kiss!

Pick up the whole series… and their matching stuffies!!! It will make you smile THIS BIG!

Pick up this great book and others in the collection!
