“If an Elephant Went to School” by Ellen Fischer. (Book Review)

If animals went to children’s school, would they learn the ABCs, 123s, days of the week, music, reading and writing and arithmetic, just like children do? No! If children when to an animals’ school, would they learn how to change color, like a chameleon? No! This book is a great way to introduce all the topics your little one will learn in school, all while showing some familiar and unfamiliar species of animals and their typical traits or hidden talents. For example, we learn all the ways an elephant uses her trunk, that a zebra sleeps standing up, that bees make honey and frogs eat flies, and how a caterpillar spins a cocoon before becoming a butterfly. Your little learner will definitely get excited about attending school the next day after reading this book! I would highly recommend it as a back to school gift for someone short and special!
